Long Island Restaurant Week launches on Sunday, November 7th and runs through Sunday, November 14th. The idea is simple: for eight days, Sunday to Sunday, all participating restaurants offer a three-course prix-fixe for $24.95 all evening (only until 7 p.m. on Saturday). Each restaurant offers its own menu.
The big promotion, now in its fifth year, is organized by WordHampton Public Relations, the creators of Hamptons Restaurant Week, and involves about 200 restaurants.
Many restaurants in the Hamptons are already doing their off-season specials, but it's still worth checking out. Redundancy is not a bad thing when it comes to saving money.
I'd like to see them offer some wine specials to go with the prix-fixe.
