How We Celebrate the Harvest in the Hamptons

It was not exactly a clash of cultures.  But it was a nice mash-up of traditions from all over the place.  Showjumping, hayrides, barrel rolling, grape stomping, country music, even a samba school band.  An ethnic mix at the food stations, and lots and lots of wine.

It was the annual Wolffer Estate Vineyard Harvest Party, as always on the Sunday of Columbus Day weekend.  The geometric beauty of the rows of grapevines matched by the flawless blue sky on a perfect fall day.  Another great memory in the making for a sold-out crowd, proving once again what a magnificent month October is in the Hamptons.
