EAT, DRINK AND STAY HEALTHY. WE HAVE A LOT MORE TO DO THIS SUMMER.

A North Fork Farm to Table Dinner is planned for Thursday, August 19th, 2010, at Bedell Cellars in Cutchogue.  The impressive menu is composed of local seafood, local produce, local birds (well, Long Island ducks) and wines produced right there at Bedell Cellars.  Winemaker Richard Olsen-Harbich will be on hand if you want to discuss his wines.

They’ll be pouring Bedell’s 2007 First Crush White, 2007 First Crush Red, and Corey Creek’s 2008 Domaines CC Rosé.  These are among the best everyday wines you’ll find on Long Island—simple, delicious, and dependable, and just right for a meal where the emphasis is on freshness rather than complexity.

Wine, food and service runs $150 per person.  Contact: Molly Deegan at (631) 267-2411 or Molly@bedellcellars.com.

Come exercise, eat locally produced food, and watch “Fresh”, a new documentary film that will fire you up to take action against the damaging forces behind the big agra-food industry. The film is being shown Friday, August 13, 2010 at the Core Dynamics Health & Fitness Gym in Water Mill, NY.

Visit the Slow Food table at this event.  Exercise open house with fitness trainers and demonstrations: 3:00 - 5:00 pm.  Food from local farmers and chefs: 5:00 - 6:00 pm. Screening: 6:00 - 7:15 pm.  Post screening discussion with panel of nutrition counselors, health experts and professional farmers: 7:30 -9:00 pm.
